Tracked straight away, excellent renewal price for building and contents cover. Very efficient and friendly staff (you deal with your local branch once a policy is in force - good idea!). You just have to wait the time periods to lapses for cash back to become payable.

Very slow to pay out cashback. I am still waiting for payout 4 months after taking out a policy. Even after an enquiry they have not paid out.

took a few months before i got my cashback, i got it in the end but had to send off an enquiry form, still waiting for swinton to pay my motor insurance cash back after 4 months.

Dont hold your breath waiting for cashback with swinton. I have had a claim in since October 09. After contacting the cashback enquiries they have told me that Swinton are not going to pay and they do this with most of thier cashback claims. I ended up closing the claim with no cashback. I Wont be doing business with Swinton again. I could not possibly recommend this organisation! Very poor to dishonour their advertised cashback. I wonder how many others used these because the cashback made them the cheapest. In the end they cost me money they were one of the most expensive.

Took out buildings and contents insurance in March - still no cashback showing, TCB now chasing but I'm not holding my breath. Won't be using them again when there are a million others to choose from!

To give an even-handed view I would like to report that my £30 cash back has finally become payable, one week short of the policy's renewal date. Whether or not this is because of my many emails to Top Cashback (who worked very hard on my behalf) is a different topic for debate!

Spoke with my local Swinton when they called again to sell me a renewal. When I told them I was a bit hacked off with them and why they immediately 'spoke with their manager' and offered a £100 discount by way of goodwill.
However, their initial quote was for £309 (now £209) and when I priced it myself on the Swinton Website it came out at £201 (before Cashback). It reminded me of an episode of Watchdog covering 'door-to-door salesmen' who start off with a greatly inflated price and then phone their manager to get a 'special' discount.
If I didn't feel they were scammers before I certainly do now!

Had a message from Swinton on my answer phone today asking me to call to renew my policy. Good job I wasn't in otherwise they would have received a very rude reply as despite many, many prompts and contacts with Top Cashback (who have tried really hard) SWINTON HAVE STILL NOT PAID UP NEARLY 1 YEAR LATER. I feel ripped off and it would sorely rub salt in the wound to give them further business.

No problems. Cashback paid within the 3 months also received the £30 Swinton cashback cheque on time. So £60 cashback in total on Home Insurance. Will use again

Very disappointed with Swinton. Took ages for Cashback to be validated and am now waiting on payment. From the comments below, I don't hold out much hope !
Will not be using Swinton again.

Swinton would not pay cashback as they said it had already been paid to another introducer. I suspect this is because I found Swinton using a comparison site and then came back to TCB to buy the policy. So beware of this.

Never tracked, waited 4 months (my fault) before looking to chase claim. But TCB only look at claims for cashback within 100 days.
Message to all, make sure you chase after 30 days if not pending.

Had to make a manual claim which has still not been paid one year and two month's after taking out the policy. Still waiting for payment. Will not use Swinton ever again. I tol them I was not renewing with them and they did not seem at all bothered when I told them why!

12 months on and time to renew the policy and I still haven't received payment. Had to submit a manual claim which eventually when to pending but now it's stuck. I won't be using Swinton again unless the policy is cheaoer than anyone else without factoring in the cashback. Disappointed.

The cashback amount from Swinton appeared relatively quickly making the home insurance very competitive - however, a year later and it has not moved from the pending column! My policy is about to expire .. not many guesses needed to know whether I will be renewing with Swinton!!

The end of my policy is in sight but despite several prompts and corresponding directly with Top Cashback themselves every month since last year, Swinton HAVE STILL NOT PAID OUT.
Most people would have given up by now thus giving Swinton the business for no reward.
I daresay that they will send me a renewal notice soon, no prizes for gussing what my (impolite) response is likely to be.

In october last year I purchased Home & van insurance for myself & my partner. Swinton failed to track & after several atempts by Topcashback the following is what I was told:-
We have recently heard back regarding your missing commission claim. Unfortunately it appears that your claim could not be approved. The reason the merchant has given is as follows:
"enquiry unsuccessful - Transaction cannot be traced- order reference not found or does not exist"
Sorry that this has taken so long for you, we have been trying hard to get this pushed through for you but it appears that the retailer is steadfast in declining all of our submissions that they receive from us with regards to this transaction. We are very sorry about this; I do hope that any transactions you may go on to make in the future go a lot more smoothly for you.
So I've lost £70 in commision - Swintons are a joke, never again.
