Just to say swinton have paid up ,they do say u have to have ur policy for 3mths before they pay out. I missed this comment when i wrote my last review.

Finally got my £55 cashback from 30 Jan. But in fairness, it does say that it can take 60-90 days to become payable (this makes sure people don't take the cashback and then cancel their policies). Anyway - I'm happy!!!

Cash back has now become payable. I've also received a cheque for £40. The policy was taken out on 21/01/2009 so it took a while. Overall it was worth the wait to get £95 back in total.

Like a number of others with transactions from Jan/Feb , I managed to get the £55 'pending' after submitting a claim. However, the cashback is still 'pending' even though the estimated payable date was 30 April. Also still waiting for the cashback cheque.

Bought car insurance 29th Jan 09, it's now 8th May 09 and still haven't had the £55. Wouldn't bother with this retailer again.

I'm still awaiting the £55 cash-back from an insurance policy taken out in January and I have had to raise this issue again with TCB. I think this is very poor customer service and it has left me feeling cheated and frustrated!

Well i have waited since 20th jan for this cashback so i am giving up now i have been in touch through topcashback twice which has not helped perhaps they would be beter taking this company off there site

I purchased my insurance with swinton 0n 2/2/09...its now 5/5/09 and ive heard nothing...not even 'confirmed' still classed as 'pending' have contacted TCB but have bene told the claim is now too old to follow up. This is the first time i have used aq cashback site...and i wont be bothering in the future.

Extremily slow, had to chase it up just to get it to show, and the payment is still pending after 4 months. I hope it will become payable soon

This looks like a lost cause - now nearly 12 weeks and still not showing anywhere on my TCB account, despite following the manual claim procedure. I used to have a high regard for Swinton as a company but I feel in this instance that they got my car insurance business under false pretences. Whether it was because they deliberately misled people in January/February regarding TCB cashback or it's just their incompetence I'll never know. Whatever the reason, Swinton will not be getting any renewal or additional business from me. I doubt if that concerns them in the slightest, but I'll certainly make sure that other people are aware of their cavalier attitude to customers.

Wasn't going to post until my cashback was paid, however, guess which insurer cold-called me yesterday offering me home insurance?! Cashback via TCB is still sitting at "pending" stage despite buying policy 06/02/09 and estimated payable date being 30/04/09. (Only showed as pending after missing cashback claim and 2 nudges). Still no sign of the £40 additional cashback cheque direct from Swinton either, although this is supposed to be paid up to 90 days after the start of the policy, so still a week till that's up. When I asked the girl at the Swinton call centre about this yesterday, she couldn't comment and I was advised to contact my local branch if it doesn't appear within the next week to ten days. Hmmm...
