Swinton are brilliant in terms of their service and the cashback. They have local offices so you can simply pop in if you need to, the cashback is payable really quickly (5 weeks for me) and I'm also waiting for a cheque from Swinton themselves. I got car insurance for my wife and me for 2 cars for effectively under £200

brilliant, cashback was in my account just over 1 1/2 months later (6 weeks), also awaiting my extra cheque from swinton for taking out my policy at £30 which ill get direct from the company. great cusotmer service, espcialy as there local office is in my town and i can have the personalised affect. would highly recommned for the cashback

Very expensive. Last year my premium was £350.00 all in now they want 12 payments of £153.00!!!! sorry, I will be looking elsewhere

The quality of a service provider is about much more than the cashback transaction.
When I bought my motor insurance through Swinton, the cashback deal went through fine. However, I had the misfortune to need to make a report/claim of a minor incident - then the customer service was a complete nightmare.
I was transferred to 5 people between the Swinton the brokers and my insurance company, all of whom asked for the same information (name, address, phone nos, email, car reg & make).
Another person them rang me a few minutes later, seeking other information, and asked my to confirm who I was and my date of birth - and they rang me !!
As long as I live, I will never use Swinton again

Still waiting for cashback use another company even if cheaper at least you will get the cashback promised. Suggest topcashback remove them from the site until they agree to pay cashback as promised in a reasonable time

Don't use Swinton, their website comes up with an Error code on the final payment screen so you have to ring and place the order over the phone. This has happened with several different policies I tried to begin, motorbike and car. So you lose the Topcashback reward, thus defeating the whole point. Plus it creates a great deal of frustration!!

Might be good if I could have completed the purchase online. I tried and tried and maybe I can't see the wood for the trees. When I press continue to purchase it asks me to say whether I want to pay monthly or annually, well I filled that bit in already and I can find no box to tick on the page I was currently on. Had to phone in the end!

Bought Insurance in Nov 2011 still waiting for cash back after endless nudges. Not impressed. Plus have received nearly 30 calls from swinton in less than a month trying to get us to have other insurance. Sometimes like today we have had 3 calls! Not impressed wouldn't use them again. Although I have to say I have used them in the past and they have been OK

I did receive a good rate of £40 cashback that was eventually paid, so no complaints there.
My problem is with Swinton constantly pestering me to take their breakdown cover and life insurance.
More than a dozen calls where I have politely declined their offer of '3 months free'. The last 2 calls I just said yeah OK just so they didn't ring back, even though I already have 12 months RAC cover.
I have put a reminder in my phone to cancel the cover after 12 weeks and a mental reminder to not use Swinton again.
I doubt they would be so eager to speak to me in the event of a claim.

I have used Swinton via Top Cashback for car and home insurance for three years. I did car insurance for a friend last Novemeber. Got a good premium and £40.00 cash back. The cashback was even paid on time and on the due date. It tracked after submitting claim, but Top Cashback dealt with it quickly. Will definately use again.

Shocking service from Swinton, awful customer service - nuisance sales calls, I was on holiday for 2 weeks, due to their failure to set up direct debit - they cancelled my car insurance policy whilst i was away and had the cheek to charge £144 to my debit card for the privilege - steer well clear.
On the plus side, great cash back service from TCB, again which I cannot fault, at least that went some way to paying for their charges!

Torture to deal with, had to get TopCashBack to get money. Swinton didn't keep to their quote, gave a 3 month free life policy which took another 3 months to cancel and we are still waiting for the refund. Didn't keep to their quote, wouldn't recommend them.

Excellent customer service, with a courtesy telephone call following an on-line purchase of insurance. Very competitively-priced insurance, company has high street presence, definitely recommended. Fingers crossed for great cashback, too.
