managed to get £75 cash back from swinton direct and got £40 cashback from topcashback - took approx 3 months to get both amounts

Price quoted through confused.com was far cheaper than when purchased through TopCashback, although with Swinton's offer of £40 back after 3 months and the £40 from TopCashback I decided to go with it.
Only one complaint.... "Stop the marketing phonecalls" at least 2 a day from their Halifax call centre.. I certainly wouldn't purchase Swinton again purely on the 'aftersales'

Hi...
An important point: they don't tell you till the final page of quote that if you use a credit card they'll surcharge you 2.5%. With debit card, zero. How nice of them, eh?
On principle, I never do business with any firm who surcharges and I strongly suggest others do the same.
It's a rip-off and, depending on your final quote price, could significantly eat into any 'cashback' you may receive.
They want the customer to have ease of payment via credit card but then want to 'penalise'. Equally, in the guise of giving you 'choice', the debit card: only then they'll have their payment in three days.
In short, they want YOU to pay their bill to Visa/Mastercard or to pay them promplty via Debit card.
Then they have the cheek (as per other reviews) to delay or not pay at all any cashback. Give these creeps a miss!

I went on confused.com and swinton came out cheapest by far at £166.49. Put exactly the same data in through topcashback and identical insurance quoted at £188 including cashback of £40.00 making it £228!!! What a rip off. Warning - please be aware you could pay more going through this site!

I just received my £40 cheque from Swinton, after exactly 3 months, as per terms and conditions. This is in addition to the £40 cashback from TCB.
Their local office does tend to phone every now and again, trying to sell me something else - which is annoying. But I can live with that, considering the money saved.

Definitely DO NOT trust swinton with their cashback. They sent me a claim form which i subsequently claimed only to be told 3 months later that there was no such claim and quite rudely that i wasnt going to get a penny off them.

I bought the insurance late afternoon and it has tracked already. It did say when I was buying that I would be sent an email telling me how to get £40 back. This has not arrived and I assume MY £40 is the topcashback payout. I like to get an offer from the supplier and tcb. Not that I'm greedy you understand :D

Don't trust Swinton!!!! I never had a problem getting cash back it always went like clockwork until I tried Swinton it is now almost a year and nothing. I will never use them again and if you take my advice neither should you.
