Update from - 27 Jun 2012. Cashback has only come through at £20, so have had to make a claim to increase it. It was later increased to £40.40 and became confirmed on 14/08/12. It became payable today and I am very happy. As for the service from TalkTalk, that has been pretty good. I left Virgin and took a gamble on TalkTalk because of the high charges and sneaky way Virgin kept reducing my loyalty bonus. Service is just as good and online bill information is excellent compared to Virgins minimal info. The ability to add and remove boosts a month at a time is also handy. Hopefully all will remain okay, in which case I'm glad I went to TalkTalk.

Quick cashback, no hassle purchase and broadband installation. Quality of the broadband itself (speed and reliability) not that great but overall value for money considering high cash back.

Talk talk have been absolutely terrible through both their customer services and cashback. Although my cashback initially tracked, it did so at a lower rate than advertised, then reverted to zero and was then declined. In terms of the actual service received from them, they cancelled my engineer visit to set up my new line without telling me, made me wait over 6 weeks for a new visit and then over the course of 3-4 months continually overcharged me for line rental I had paid up front. Their customer services staff have made promises, including in writing, that have not been carried out. I have no hesitation in advising anybody thinking of signing up with them to run a mile. They are by far the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with.

Talktalk is the best if budget maters! I exprienced a sine waved DL speed on BB and it has fixed after reporting this fault and 2 technicians checked inside and out. Once again after 1 month there was a problem with receiving calls and this time I reported online via mobile and it was great. I ticked the problems and my desireable date and time and 1 day later it was fixed. But about the cashback: It hasn't tracked after 6 weeks although the TCB logo was at the top of pages when I was purchasing. I filled a claim form but it seems it will take more than a season!(it's more than 2 months since purchased) Still waiting and didn't lose my hope!

Purchased landline & Broadband in February 2012, amount showed as pending then about 3 weeks later went to zero. I have chased this up via the suggested channels without any result and have now given up the idea of cashback regarding TalkTalk. I don't have a problem with Top Cash Back, all my other purchases have gone through without a problem.

Just have to respond to Joybobin dated 23 07 12, the purchase was made DECEMBER 2012? How is that possible as it is 5 months in the future! My experience have been excellent, I highly recommend TALK TALK to you.

ONLY REASON I AM GIVING 5 STAR IS TO FILTER MY COMMENT ON TOP OF THE LIST as this is sorted by the high star by default. I have purchased talktalk essentials on december 2012. No cashback received yet. I have reported a missing claim as well. But still no cashback. How can I suggest them to others in terms of cash back promise? and in terms of service - talktalk is the worst bb provider. Please visit talktalk members forum, search bjoy for my chasing for a stable service. They are simply not worst - they are horrible. They have estimated my bb speed while signing up the contract was 17.4Mbps. I never get that speed in my entire 7 months experience with them but it is less than 1mbps mostly all times. How can I rate them 5? also my bb disconnects when I use the phone line.

I signed up yesterday directly with Talk Talk's website for home-phone/BB, as I was an eejit and forgot to use topcashback; I started a cancellation process by phoning them in order to re-set up by going via Topcashback. The Retailer's common sense prevailed - they just offered me the £60 cashback as a credit to my Talk Talk a/c, so I didn't have to cancel and they didn't have the hassle of processing a cancellation & resetup. THERE IS COMMON SENSE OUT THERE !!

TalkTalk have the worst customer service. Putting my prices up without warning, renewing contract without warning, speeds were terrible, would not replace faulty router, wanted £270 to leave after their mistake. Had to go to trading standards to resolve. Awful awful supplier. While the service was running, the internet would go down for 5-30mins about 3times a day, frustrating,

johntheone1234: I had the same problem as you, but they have now paid up the remaining £20 (total offer was £40 when I singed up) after 4 months. As I paid for one year's line rental in advance, I have yet to receive a bill for the broadband, and the cashback will now cover the next 5 months - so quite pleased overall. Service is not perfect but better than virgin media was.

Just signed up on 25/06/12 when cashback increased to £60. Tracked within 2 hours and have been emailed and received texts confirming purchase. Cashback has only come through at £20, so have had to make a claim to increase it. I will update on both cashback and how well TalkTalk perform with their service.

Order March, tracked correctly but then went to £0, and still in appeal months later. Doesn't look hopeful. The Home Safe does not work, I have contacted customer services, but no progress, and they have given up trying to solve the problem. Broadband is okay for the price. Not as good as O2, but it is a lot cheaper.

Total rip-off Don't trust. I didn't get any cashback lodge claim. Talk talk cannot trace product bought even when i supplied order number and using their service telephone line and broadband. The contract will be cancelled as soon as terms and conditions have been met seeing that they cannot trace me even though i am paying customer.

Oh my god! Wanted the Broadband Essentials package with value line rental (pay £115 for the years line rental up front). This will NOT complete online - phoned bank who say it all went through on their end and then Talk Talk cancelled it each time. Spoke to Talk Talk customer services and WOW - everything you hear is true! They are incredibly RUDE. They want you to sign up with them on the phone, very vague about why the transaction always fails. The package they offer on the phone is slightly different to the online offer. If their customer services is any indication to go by - I have just had a luck escape! AVOID - go somewhere else. I've just looked at the stats too and these aren't great for actually getting your cashback either!

Talktalk went live 1200? Did not notice a break in service, Router easy to set up, all I had to do was plug in the 3 cables and I was on line, Simple. P/S I gave 5 star for customer service as I have not needed them.

Cash back added very quickly. Now see that it is increased for new customers, probability to get the dithers roped in. I shall be happy with what I signed up to, Just hope that it becomes payable, will let you know . I was signed with them in the past and the service could not be better.

Turned payable after 2 months, however it is still the wrong cashback amount. Don't believe the hype about £60 for Plus or Essentials, you are likely to get £20 only.
