I purchased this product in January 2011 and all nudges etc tcb have sent have been ignored. Couple with that the broadband is the poorest quality. In fact I used better when I was on dial-up.

I have only ever known people who had issues with Talk Talk and now after being with them for nearly a year I can see why. Terrible service and broadband that constantly is off despite all the checks and running tests in my area. Customer service OK, but foreign based call and technical help departments. I would avoid if want reliable broadband and use BT or Sky.

I'm experiencing the same problem as others: just moved house and signed up for a new TalkTalk Plus, but it has only tracked at 20.20 instead of 40.40. That's a valid complaint, but cashback should never be a factor when choosing which company to go with. For me, TalkTalk were the cheapest even without the cashback, and so far the service has been very good. Router pack came 3 days after subscribing (before we even got the keys to the house). First bill has just been issued online (2 weeks after joining) and it is all correct - advance payment for line rental, half price for 9 months, and waived connection fee.

Guess I'll join the army of people let down by this company with regards to cashback. Took the essentials package with the promise of £60.00 cashback and a £25 Amazon voucher. As per others, waited a couple of months and hey presto my cashback . I took the service, im still using the service so how do they have the nerve to reject my cashback claim. Claim raised, lets see what happens... Just a warning to others if you think your going to end up with the cashback...

Personally I would avoid TalkTalk like the plague. I had a similiar experience to another commenter - paid line rental upfront for year, payment then added as credit to account rather than payment for line rental. Had to be refunded and then pay in advance again - overall tie-in will now be 14 months rather than 12. Speed is up and down like a yoyo. My cashback zeroed which I have queried - still waiting for 'retailer to comment' nearly 4 months later!! Customer care scores poorly for me too - non-UK based call centre - I had problems getting agent to understand exactly what was wrong with billing (and speeds).

Signed up in November 11. Initally showed the full cash back was tracked, then went to zero. Don't understand why as I took a new contract (albeit the cheapest available @ only £3.25 mth) but there was noting stating minimum package which had to be taken. Still chasing for cashback but not holding my breath

Switched line rental & broadband in november, tracked at £62.40. However, the cashback has now turned to zero for no reason. Also expecting £25 amazon voucher as offer stated at the time. Just submitted a claim, hoping for cashback to resolve, not happy as this was tracked ok transaction. Service is also not very good as the router I received was faulty though was replaced in week time after complain. Then the bill I received charged me monthly line rent where as I had paid line rent in advance for the whole year. Never experienced so many hurdles before...

Well as time went on, my star rating for TalkTalk broadband changed a lot: On the day of broadband transfer it was 5 star. My speed went up from 8.1Mb to 19.2Mb and the down time was minutes. NB:You will have to manually add your CallerID service back after you go live. Seems strange cause it's free - but it's not automatically added. NNB:If you have a BT homehub 2 - just ignore the router TT send you. The HH works perfectly well, without changing a thing. This saves you setting up your wireless all over again. Plus you can carry on using the HH as a DECT base station. The cashback tracked at 50 instead of £65, so the rating dropped to 4 star. When the first bill arrived it was wrong - I paid for line rental in advance but still got charged full rate over again. Plus the discount package rate wasn't applied. Now 3 star. 4 calls to the dire TT customer service line, who can do no right. Rating now minus 1 star. Rating finally and grudgingly increased back to 2 star (assuming that the cashback will come through). They have finally sorted out a couple of goodwill payments (leaving me £1.50 up!) but locked in for 14 months, not 12. I have to admit that the actual service is really excellent, and very cheap. Shame if you want an accurate bill though, more chance of West Brom for the Premiership title.

Mine has also just turned to £0.00. Will raise a query with Topcashback which they'll surely resolve. pandawilks, if you could let us know where the cashback of £70 was avaiable, I'd be grateful.

I also switched in November and this tracked at £62.40. However today, the cashback has been declined, and I cannot see a reason why, as I fully switched line rental and broadband to Talk Talk. Also should have received a £25 Amazon voucher as this was then offer at the time. Submitted a claim, but not happy as this should have been accepted and be ready for payment :(

Tracked in November at £60. Raised to £70 by TCB as higher amount available elsewhere and then today goes to £0! I've switched so nthing wrong with order. Terrible. Will have to see what TCB do with my query.

TopCashBack fail to state on their TalkTalk page that if you are signing up as a new TalkTalk broadband customer who also requires a new landline then you will not be eligible cashback. This happened to me. I found that when you click through from TCB to TalkTalk and click on the new landline option, the website redirects you to another page where it advises you to phone TalkTalk. It wasted a lot of my time. I would suggest that TCB updates their TalkTalk page to inform other customers like myself of this, because this would prevent others from experiencing similar trouble. P.S. I have already raised this issue with TopCashBack directly, but I was not happy with their response regarding this matter.

You're best to pay more and get a service rather than pay less and get no service. Customer services and other departments did not call back when said they would. They cancelled the contract because they could not sort out the connection problem. Said if we wanted to try again could do so as a new customer and wait even longer again and perhaps still no connection. Be warned! Waste of time, several weeks later still no internet and now have to look into other companies.

Don't touch this company with a barge pole. Engineer called to install and said there was a problem with the exchange and talk talk would be in touch when sorted. 2 weeks later and several calls by me, not them, false promises they cancelled without notification. Spoke to customer services, again, they said after a certain time they cancel automatically and we would have try again as a new customer. We would have to go to the back of the queue and who knows if the same would happen again. Decided not to give this company our business as the service could not be relied on. Beware!

Did everything it said it would do .On time.Good introductary offer.Easy to upgrade the service on-line. Only annoying feature is the range of discount offers available.Bit of a minefield to get the right one. Now waiting to see if Talk talk pay the topcashback on time and how we get on with the billing!

Woeful broadband service: frequent drops, intermittent streaming, lost e-mails, billing-errors [which always seem to go TT's way] and Indian call-centre tech support who often fail to do what they say they'll do. Expect nothing but trouble from Talk Talk.
