How is cashback earned on TALK TALK you cannot get your line checked as there is a 'technical fault' which has been said to be local but have tried several post codes in the country and they are all the same. You can get it checked in seconds on the their phone line but then you cannot claim cash back! please help someone neither TALK TALK or cash back will give an answer - all seems a joke!! what am I doing wrong?

All a bit of a con. Went through this website to TalkTalk to get phoneline installed. Should have got £40 cashback but surprise surprise they can't locate my claim. Have waited 4 months to hear this shyte.

Cashback initially tracked at £20.20 when it should have been £60.60. Topcashback eventually got back to me to say that 'talk talk didn't think I'd bought through their site'. Kudos to Topcashback for keeping me informed! Talk Talk customer service is terrible, the box didn't set up, they had to send an engineer around to fix the issue and even though it was their fault STILL charged £50, which after a couple of months they gave me credit for, rather than refunding the money...

Cashback from Talk Talk?......what a joke! Still waiting for the promised £70 after purchasing the Essentials package in Oct 2012. All Talk Talk customer service can do is tell me that it's the responsibility of topcashback to pay up!!

Joined Talktalk on 27 October 2012 and have had to make missing cashback claim in December. we are still waiting for our cash back. Do not rely on getting your money in a hurry.

The difference between TalkTalk and BeThere for broadband... If anyone is interested in seeing how TalkTalk compare with another ISP (bethere.co.uk) for the exact same ADSL2+ broadband service on the same line then i made a comparison of speeds, pings and customer service before i switched to TalkTalk. In short: BeThere.co.uk Download speed: 950 KB/s Upload speed: 135 kB/s Pings to gaming servers: 11ms P2P speeds: Always full speed Customer Service: Great Talktalk Download speed: 690 KB/s Upload speed: 98 kB/s Pings to gaming servers: 34ms P2P speeds: Sometimes came to a complete stop at peak times due to throttling Customer Service: Terrible (more on that later) As you can see that is quite a difference for the same product and shows the difference between a good ISP and a bad one. My many years with BeThere i did not have to contact customer service much, but when i did my issues were always resolved fast and efficiently. With TalkTalk it is a different story so lets start at the beginning. I ordered (through topcashback) line rental, essentials package and fibre with talktalk, There was a half price essentials offer on at the time but on the online checkout the half price offer was not showing on the total price, so i used the live chat to speak to a sales adviser who told me that was normal and the offer would be applied to my welcome package and bill. I also asked about p2p throttling on the fibre broadband and was told that fibre is not affected as much as the ADSL and so would only drop by around 2Mb at most and i was estimated to get 60Mb. Sounds good right? well no as i later find out that i am being charged the full amount and also talktalk do throttle fibre just as much as ADSL. So either the sales "advisers" lie to you to get the sale or they dont have a clue how things work. With TalkTalk you can't just sign up to fibre, if you are a new customer you have to first get TalkTalk line rental and ADSL before they start an order for fibre. Althoug

Tracked through at the Topcash price for 4 months, then went to zero, shame, all Talk talk can say is that i am a customer of AOL and not them. Strange as my d/d is set to pay stalk stalk and i have paid a years line rental up front to them. CON ARTISTS, its back to BT for me as soon as my year is up, at least they talk some sense, not just gibberish all the time.

Did not track, no cashback received, the broadband is pathetic and the phone line seems to have a robotic parrot copying everything I say... Reported numerous faults, received new router but still the same. Truly awful!..

Did not track automatically; nothing I buy tracks automatically any more! Submitted a manual claim Nov 2012 and there it sat until late Jan 2013 when, after a nudge, it went to payable. A couple of days later it was confirmed, all £48.48 of it!

This merchant doesn't pay the correct amount of cashback. Still waiting for the below level of cashback offered to confirm 8 months after purchase. Don't believe talk talk will ever pay.

Cashback tracked straight away and £60.60 paid no problem. To maximise broadband speed an engineer came out twice free of charge (had no master socket the first time which needed resolving) and did a fantastic job in the end. Have no problem recommending. Great service all round.

My transaction, from 20th July, is still to pay despite continued reassurances at different stages by topcashback customer service that the payment would be with me "soon" (they've been saying this every couple of weeks since 16th October). I get the impression they're fairly toothless in chasing up missing payments despite well meaning sentiments. After reading through other peoples comments I am not alone in this. My advice to you is unless you are prepared to wait a "very, very long" time (forget the quoted average) for a cashback tracking experience (that may never happen) then avoid this retailer.

Was sign up a new phone line with a Essential broadband 3 months ago. The cashback offer was £40.40 at the time, glad to see that the cashback is "Confirmed" now but only half the amount!

After swapping from BT, i was not impressed with their broadband service. Although their customer service has vastly improved over the last 18 months or so, their services haven't, infact, now they have put their prices up it gave me a reason to start looking around for another supplier which i will do with regards broadband, i will say however, their phone line and the package we have with them is brilliant and very good value for money, i call South Africa alot and i am allowed 500 mins for £5 per month, a bargain and the cheapest i cant find. They have also tried to help me with broadband issues (sending out an engineer for free (normally £50) and sending out a new router for free as well) but they were clutching at straws really, the broadband was never going to get better and i live in the city. Over all if i knew then what i know now, i would have gone for a different supplier

After 11 months of waiting and lodging a complaint I didn't receive the £25 cash back on the order I made. There was no real explanation other than they 'possibly' could not find the order. Ridiculous, it's logged on topcashback and on talk talks websites, I have emails from both confirming the transaction. I am still a talk talk customer.

Services from this merchant are as expected, just fine. On the other hand, cashback from them was not received as they were "unable to locate your queried transaction " This seems to me just a saving exercise on their part. It took them 6 months to decide that they will not honour my claim on some sleazy grounds. Not pleased as I took into account their cashback offer as a decisive factor over other companies.

Switched to Talk Talk to save money and for the flashback deal, with the caahback Talk Talk was cheapest but had no end of problems when I switched, started with random calls about my line installation, separate direct debts being set up despite the fact I paid for the line rental for 12 months, payments being taken early without notice (by a month!) - nightmares! Then after numerous calls to sort I was told that because of an error on their system they had to.place a new order, I was specifically told it would link to the flashback claim... it didn't. I've had to ring every month for 4 months due to over charges on my account & repeat the said problems every time... only just had my first bill as it should be 6months after switching. Now, despite providing details of all order numbers, times dates &names of contacts Talk Talk are not honouring the cashback. I will be leaving asap and obviously wish Id gone to another provider. However Topcashback were great in terms of processing my claim, chasing it and keeping me updated, will continue to use Topcashback but would suggest avoiding Talk Talk and don't expect the flashback offered... I suspect their 'error' on the system was a timely one which coincided with their great 'offer' on the site!

Don't count on seeing any cash back from talktalk: Hi There Thank you for your post and am sorry to see that you had a declined resolution. We are sorry that we have not been able to recover anything for you on this occasion. I'm afraid that the simple nature of claims (in the way that the matter has had to come this far) means that the odds are always against us in getting anything recovered for you, and a lot of the time we are unsuccessful in doing so. I hope that any transactions you go on to make in the future go a lot more smoothly for you. As this declination reason is a closed-ended one though, we must now consider the matter to be finalized. After hearing horror stories about Talk Talk's customer service I was worried about changing but the deal seemed so good. And the deal did turn out to be good. Am paying much less and getting better internet than with Plusnet and haven't had had to have anything to do with customer service because everything has gone smoothly. My one quibble was that £60 cashback has only just come through after several months. Recommended!

Cashback refused as they couldn't prove that I had purchased from them via topcashback- I am still in my 12 month contract though! It has taken 10 months to be told this. I have many other positive experiences with other merchants at Topcashback - this is purely a talktalk issue.

payed a year in advance. cashback not reg, tcb not helping. this is just a rip off. i would never have used talk talk wiyhout the cashback, as better deals were available elswere, so this is false advertising by talk talk and tcb lieing to get my business. service is not great either. reported to trading standards for misrepresentation.
