Looking at previous comments, I must be extremely unlucky with Thorntons!
Despite using only recommended discount codes etc, I have not received any cash back with Thorntons declining every recent claim. Very disappointed with this company.

Transaction track ok, but do not register a cash back amount. Having to submit claims is becoming something of a chore.
Additionally, after years of being a loyal customer to Thorntons, the level of their reliability and customer service has dropped drastically - one order was cancelled due to insufficient stock, and they failed to notify me until the day it was due to arrive. It was a birthday gift for a family member which was arranged n plenty of time to arrive on their birthday - I was left with no time to arrange an alternative. To top that, the only compensation Thorntons offered was a refund.
Totally unreliable and unapologetic.

Always a pleasure to receive delivery of Thorntons. BOGOF £9.99 boxes of Continental and 5for20 toffee plus discount code, equate too £105.00 worth for £47.97. Well packaged, longest use by date October, and delivered in 4 days. Now awaiting cashback. Only niggle sent a 15% discount voucher that expired before delivery arrived.

Do not ever, ever buy off Thorntons website I have been a loyal customer for years now, and every year buy roughly 20 boxes of chocolates for my family at Christmas.
This year the offer was 3 for £25 on the classics so i bought 18 and got £6 cash back roughly.
Then I go in to the shops and see the same chocolates at 2 for £10!!!
If I had bought there I would have saves £50 and that is with the shops making a profit.
I have emailed thorntons about a week ago about this and they dont even have the decency to reply.
I will never buy another product of theirs and advise others to check the prices at the shops first.

Items arrived in a damaged box which was squished that bad you could see into it. I had also ordered a chocolate car for my sons birthday which looked like it'd been kicked round the floor before being put in its box and had no iced message that I'd ordered. Apparently the confirmation email should've had any detail of the iced message and it didn't have (how would I know, it was the first time I'd ordered off Thorntons!) Also use by date very short.
Phoned customer services and the woman on the end sounded like she'd truly had enough of her job and couldn't care less, said if it wasn't on the email I hadn't put it on (erm I'm an IT trainer, not stupid...) I asked her if the website could be playing up because I was using safari not internet explorer, she told me such problems don't exist (well as I use safari all the time, I know they do!!). She said (in an equally disinterested tone) that if i wasn't happy i should take it to the post office, send it back at my expense and get a refund. I doubt I'd use them again, no wonder the business is struggling with attitudes like that, no offence!

Ordered and paid for 2 hampers next day delivery for Christmas presents. Did not arrive next day or next or next. Box was in Yodel depot as it fell apart due to wrong box used with no packing tape. Rang customer services to get refund and recall parcel, said they would sort it, they didnt, parcel arrived after Christmas no refund. Returned parcel and got refund in the end. Shame as we wanted to give British chocolates as gifts, they had good promotion but failed due to lack of packing tape, so they lost money and a customer.

Having ordered two large orders for Christmas of what I have always regarded to be top quality, online ordering as an option was very disappointing. Everything was fine until the delivery. One of the two boxes looked like it had been through the wars, and the gift wrapped boxes of chocolates inside you could clearly tell most of the chocolates were out of the plastic tray and loose. The individual boxes were bulging due to so many of the chocolates having shifted. Even gently shaking the boxes didn't coax the chocolates back into place. That took the edge off what was otherwise a brilliant service and product.

Cannot speak more highly about this company, on the 18/12 I ordered the half price gift box for £30 + used a discount code voucher that was available on this site which reduced the cost to £25.50 it tracked within hours at £2.10 which would be right for £30 it as now been confirmed(22/12) but the cashback as doubled to £4.20 which means they have gave cashback as if l paid the full price of £60

excellent offers on the website, which change daily. Only downside had ordered 2 boxes of chocolates as a gift. The larger box had been torn open in the corner, and two chocolates had been removed! (could have picked the smaller box). BUT rang customer service, who arranged replacement. Recieved email confirming none in stock option for refund or replacement. Opted for refund, and recieved call to arrange within 5 minutes of sending email. AND, as another reviewer, got to keep the damaged box. Still had to buy a replacement, as too damaged to give.
10 out of 10 for offers, taste and customer service. 0 out of 10 for delivery!!!
