Thorntons had a "buy 2, get cheapest free" offer running, which I misinterpreted as "buy 1, get one free", so I only ordered one box of chocs. Only one arrived of course, but Thorntons were very obliging and allowed me to have an additional box free, provided I paid the postage. Cashback tracked same day, incidentally.

I put three orders in just before Easter two tracked OK but one didn't. I put in a claim to TC and they put in a manual claim which tracked and became payable OK.

Ordered well in time for Easter yet the order didn't arrive until way after. When they eventually bothered answering my email expressing my disgust, I was simply told I should have used their expensive express service (despite their order taking much longer than the standard service should have taken to arrive). To add insult to injury my order didn't track. It has appeared now, weeks later and after having to submit a claim, but it's not been paid.

Had a little problem with Thorntons not sending the complete order out as advertised on their website. Sent emails and made phone calls to their Customer Services to resolve. However, the Cashback tracked very quickly and no problems arose.

I was somewhat disappointed with the delivery time taken for this order. I had anticipated it had plenty of time to reach the recipient in time for mothers day but it was only delivered over a week later.

I purchased on 13/04/2011 and was very pleased to find half the Easter Eggs I had chosen, reduced by 50%; all the rest were 3 for 2 plus free box of Classics chocolates for using Facebook link.
The only problem was they estimated the arrival of the order between 21-26/04/2011;it arrived at 7.30a.m.today 16/04/2011. Now awaiting the cashback within 2 months and has always paid out previously.

The Thorntons website is CRAP. Really bad. Particularly in the corporate section. If you order an egg, then change that to 100 eggs, then it charges you postage for 100! If you add 100 in one go, then it charges you for postage for one egg. If you order multiple types of eggs, it starts charging postage for every different type.
So if you have an easy order, your cashback may be fine. But beware big or complicated orders... it's impossible to fulfil through the site, and thus you won't get cashback.

Thorntons are another site who really respect and value their customers. Their products are excellent and there are usually several special offers which are great value. They have a very easy to negotiate website and so far have never needed to contact customer services, but have no doubt they would also be up to the job. They notify cashback very quickly also. A genuinely good retailer with excellent products.

They use DHL (Drop it, Hide it Lose it) and yes they are the worst service out there lost first parcel , damaged second parcel left third in the rain when they never bothered to knock on my door. Customer service very good replaced items and so on but they need to lose the contract with this disgrace of a delivery service
