Don't bother! Ordered a hamper basket for Christmas they lost the parcel so I cancelled my order, didn't receive a refund then weeks later the box turns up. Still waiting for my claim to go through. In future will use Hotel Chocolat!

Ordered a Hamper for Xmas on 1st Dec - by 23rd Dec parcel hadn't arrived despite several calls during which i was advised it had been posted. On 23rd December rang to cancel order as Delivery Depot confirmed to Thorntons they had lost the parcel. Thorntons gave me a full refund. Within half an hour my parcel arrived. Advised Thorntons of this and they told me to keep parcel and refund as gesture of goodwill. Parcel cost me £70 so got £70 worth of choccies for free although a lot of the packaging was damaged inside - had obviously not been looked after by delivery depot. Al in all couldnt really fault Thorntons.

Obviously a top grade retailer with brilliant offers and discounts for Xmas presents or indeed anytime. Much better going through TCB online than in-store as better deals. All delivered speedily as promised and in good order. Never had a problem woth cashback with this merchant.

I've just purchased for 3rd time in 3 weeks, I bought a mixture full priced/ discounted chocolate and used code to get 2 free boxes too. END OF SEASON BUNDLE arrived today, it weighed over 2.5 kg, at £15 it's fantastic value compared to true cost of individual items on website. Some chocolates best before Feb 2011, as site advised, others March-November 2011. I've just ordered another. 1st purchase tracked next day, 2nd purchase tracked within hour and I am awaiting cashback.

Bought the chocolates as Christmas presents. Split between two addresses. All delivered quickly. Well boxed - no damage to individual boxes inside. Fabulous chocolate. All eaten!

Chocolates were received within 5 days. End of range bundle consisted of 2 boxes mixed chocs, I box mint chocs,1 small box milk chocs and 1 500g slab milk choc. All had shelf life between April and June 2011
Well worth it

No criticisms - but chocolates are something I'm only really likely to buy for special occasions such as Christmas, hence 4 stars instead of 5 for re-visiting the merchant..

Not the easiest merchant to order from, online system not intuitive and at end of process I was not sure whether the order had gone through or not as I did not get an email confirming order (luckily I had noted the order number displayed on screen). I had to phone customer services who were very helpful and sent an email immediately confirming order. Items dispatched quickly and delivered in good condition. Good cashback percentage (tracked quickly) and free box of chocs as well so good value for money.
