Gold rewards card with £60.60 cashback. Cashback instantly tracked and paid within 2 weeks.
American Express are way ahead of every other credit card company for deals and service.

Gold peferred rewards cash - £63 cashback. Applied for the card, tracked immediately and confirmed when I registered my cards and paid out in full within 4 weeks - fantastic. Rewards bonus and fuel (2.5% or more cashback in first year) make this card a no brainer! Other family members and friends signed up as referrals through me for this so happy days! I always pay off my credit card in full each month so was happy to swop to this for better rewards.

It would appear the relationship between TCB and Amex has deteriorated somewhat as most of the recent reviews are negative. Like many, I balanced a £25 card fee against a £30 cashback promise, but 2 months later nothing. Don't be fooled by the 99% satisfaction which seems to be more descriptive of a era long past !!!

I applied for the Preferred Rewards Gold on 3 May 2013 and the £60 cashback did not track.
I chased it up via the cashback claims process on the Topcashback site on 27 May. Kept chasing/nudging. Eventually on 18th September I had a response saying "Unfortunately your claim has been declined on this occasion. The merchants network has stated that this has been declined for the reason "Another marketing channel was credited with sale" ".
There was no other marketing channel.
The card itself is fine and Amex generally give good service.

Applied and received card in May 13', 6 months in and still no cashback. Being a cashback plus member hasn't helped in this regard (in response to previous poster). Ticket raised, told to wait another few months. Great card and company, poor cashback experience.

Absolutely rubbish! Met all the criteria for application when £60 cashback offered. I have not received a penny and it is now confirmed that I will not do so! TCB have tried to get cashback I guess but I feel they should not keep on handling a company which fails to fulfil its promises.

I applied for a Preferred Rewards Gold card in April 2012 when there was a promotional cashback offer on. It took months and months for a (large) chunk of the cashback to be paid but I'm still awaiting about £10, which is confirmed. I suppose it will be paid but I've had the card for well over a year!

Cashback a waste of time! Accepted and been using card since February 2013 no problems with AMEX at all as a charge card, cashback tracked quickly but still has not gone to confirmed or paid.
TCB just keep on saying that it should become payable soon when I raise a ticket - how come others get their cashback in a month or two after their card. Maybe if I'd have 'upgraded' my TCB account I may get some proper assistance.

Great card, great perks, love the fact that you pay it off each month and there is no interest - so whilst using it I am getting credits (plus free access to lounges in airports). Great fast cash back service £63 hit my bank today and I just got the card last month, great!

cashback not tracked, as are most of the cases lately with Topcashback!
waited 3 months AFTER the card arrived to spend the £500 which were conditioned in the offer, but SURPRISE!! by then I lost the opportunity to report it as a missing claim. As TopCashback are giving you 100 days only to be able to claim, and for this particular merchant, it takes more than 10 days to get approved and receive the card + you have 90 days in which to spend the minimum amount.
so BEWARE! these conditions are put on purpose so you won't see a penny out of that fat cashback that is displayed!

My cashback experience has not been great for Amex I'm afraid.
Initially, it did not track, and they had problems their side with authorising applications. Put a claim in, one month on still no response from Amex.
Not only that, but when I did recieve the card I wasn't reciving my bonus 5% cashback. This has now been resolved after just under 2 weeks.
So, in all, the customer service is actually very good at Amex, but the cashback experience for me has not been good.

My cashback went from pending at £30 to £0 for no reason at all. All the reasons that have been given to me do not apply so not really sure why this has happened. Still using the card but will stop using it out of principle if its not resolved.
Not good experience at all although hoping Topcashback will resolve it!

This is an ongoing saga so I expect to update this in due course. I applied for a Preferred Rewards Gold card when the cashback on offer was £70. Well, it's tracked at all sorts of amounts and so far never at the correct amount. Lately it's tracked at £7 less than the correct amount and now it's decided to track at £10.50. Crazy! TCB are onto it and I remain hopeful but this has been going on for several months already. So beware!

6 months on and still no sign of cashback, transaction tracked OK but remains unpaid, topcashback seem disinterested in the complaint I raised. I know there is no guarantee regarding cash back, I just wish they would say 'your not going to get it' and I would then stop chasing them! SO FRUSTRATING THE LACK OF ASSISTANCE FROM TCB.
