I am a returning BT customer from Talk Talk. I have been with them for nearly a week and am loving the super fast broardband! I need to of been with them a while longer to make a more accurate comparison as I have always been very pleased with Talk Talk. BT offered a faster broardband hence the move.

Went back to BT after many years with Sky, initially moved to TalkTalk but omg what a poor service, so bailed out quickly! BT sales people call you back after you've placed your order and go through everything with you. My only concern is that their support and orders lines are not in the UK but so far it hasn't caused a problem (unlike Talk Talk who were awful!) Would recommend.

Rtacked fast but quite a small amount of cashback compared to other telecom companies. Got line rental for a year in advance though which makes it far cheaper.

I made my purchase for unlimited broadband and home phone via cashback. after waiting ages for install engineer service was installed. 3 days later had an email from BT telling me that my broadband isnt unlimited and will have to pay extra for unlimited, when I asked to cancel my contract as they made a shamble of it, I was told I will have to pay £278 to cancel though I was within my 7 days cooling period. When I mentioned about my legal right of 7 days (for agreements not signed on premisses) was told BT dont honor such. very strange. the cashback been confirmed and am waiting for it for 15 weeks now.. wonder if they will ever pay it. Rubbish BT avoid them at all costs.

Received no cashback at all. The value of my order for phone and broadband has been recorded as £1 (I wish!) with zero cashback. I suspect this is probably due to a string of issues with my order resulting in BT twice having to put me in as a new order, so if they do that to you, I'd get cracking with the cashback claim. (presumably two orders cancelled by them and eventual delivery of service in a month looks better on their service stats than taking three months for the original order) Unfortunately, as a new site user I'd picked up on the 'it may take a while to get cashback' vibes on the site, but hadn't noted that you can only make a claim for incorrect cashback within 100 days of the order - please be aware! Especially when this isn't much over the three months that you are warned cashback transactions may take.

A disaster! They made mistake after mistake with the order despite my having ordered correctly. Customer Options Dept told me Fault Dept had to rectify. Fault Dept told me it was customer options problem. Customer Options said it was Fault Dept again...but when I refused to be put back through, referred me to Customer Services. My Orders team made several mistakes that caused the whole problem in the first place. Lost my cashback because BT had to place a new order FOUR times to get it right. Phone line is installed at wrong address...can you imagine hearing your phone ring in a different Flat but having BT assure you the line is in your flat? Oh...and every one of the 9 calls lasted between 30 and 90 minutes due to long wait times..even when being transferred between depts.

I'm cutting to the chase here, CASHBACK RECEIVED! Correct amount in my bank, nothing changed, waited a little over the 3 months stated, about 14 weeks in all. Confused why people comment on experience with merchant here (BT have been fine, incidentally)as well as commenting when stuff is tracked, surely its the ££ that matter here? First cashback experience, all good! Will see what happens with future ones.

I signed up with BT Infinity Broadband in March 2011, the cashhback was £55 back then, it has since dropped down to £20.20 for new Broadband sign-ups. I did get my £55 cashback but it took almost 6 months to become payable. I advise you check your cashback amount after a few days to make sure it's tracking at the correct amount, if it isn't then you need file a report straight away, dont wait to see if the amount automatically corrects itself because it wont. As for the Infinity Broadband service, well it has been excellent for me, never a single problem in 6 months, and excellent speeds of 37.5 Mbit downloads, 8Mbit uploads. Highly recommended!

Cashback tracked quickly, service installed as requested, within the timescale stated. Broadband works better than we thought it would out in the sticks!

Firstly, it took nearly a month and 5 phone calls to actually get the line activated. Apparently the previous occupiers in my house hadn't paid there bills. What's that got to do with me, I've been a customer with BT or 10 years, always paid by direct debit and this time I was even paying the 12 months line rental up front. Not happy with the service and if I didn't need to go through BT to get my line connected I would have went with someone else! With regards to cashback, the £25 went to confirmed once my line rental was live and then went to £0 when it was payable! I had to raise a ticket and after roughly a month the topcashback team found a transaction and creditted it to my account as pending. Still waiting for it to be confirmed but I won't hold my breath. Definitely wouldn't recommend BT as not really worth the hassle.

Previous nightmares of supplier switching seem to be over if they are all going like this - everyhting went to plan and BT have their act together- automated calls and texts to remind you to be in for the engineer visit may be a nuisance to some but a godsend to others- switchover no problem at all and a good cashback deal as well - the real killer for me is BT's open Wi-fi when you are out and about.

Tracked quickly at the very generous amount expected and it was confirmed last week, but has now become payable at £0. I still (unfortunately!!) have the phone & broadband contract, so can't see any reason for the change in cashback amount. They did mess up my order, meaning that my prepayment for a year's line rental didn't go through and it took me several phone calls, an email and a complaint letter to sort it out. I have raised a claim through TopCashBack in the hope that it can be sorted out. The broadband connection isn't the most reliable - it occasionally just disappears for a few hours, which is very unhelpful if you're in the middle of something. I'm stuck with an 18 month contract, so there's still time for things to improve, but so far BT are not filling me with confidence!
