I was with Kingston Communications and decided to move after really slow broadband service and money being taken out of my account without prior notice. BT have been fantastic. They kept me informed about the whole change over for my phone line and broadband. Sent reminders of when they were coming. The engineer was both polite and efficient. I also rang the customer care with questions once it was all done and they were spot on.

Switched broadband & calls from Tiscali. Ordered 23/6/10. Tracked within hours but at a lower rate than expexted but TCB sorted this out quickly and cashback was paid on 28/9/10. Excellent service from BT - router received and service activated on the stated date and they kept me informed by email every step of the way. Broadband is faster than with Tiscali as well - 6.5 Mbps. Very satisfied customer.

BT are total idiots, still waiting for cashback MORE THAN 18 MONTHS after broadband being activated.
Sorry to say, but if I were you, I'd avoid them like the plague.

Bt offered £65 cashback for a Broadband and call package. I have just transferred from Virgin Media on the strength of this cashback. However I have only been offered £50 (23% less) for my custom. I have to question their offer - was it simply a ploy to dupe new custom or perhaps I careless mistake on their part?They have not replied to my email -yet!

Ordered Ohone and Broadband today at 5pm.... its now 9.45pm and My £65 has tracked already... now to see if BT deliver the goods and to see if the cashabck will be paid on the 31/11/10 as it says!

Be aware that new line connections must be completed by phone, rather than on-line. Therefore doubt topcashback will apply...

I seem to have done myself a good deal by switching to this package. However, I appear to have used my month's download quota in the first week!!! Haven't had my cashback yet either.

moved to bt phone line and internet from Talktalk and really wish I hadnt. I have had nothing but problems from BT. Firstly, they did not deliver the home hub when they said they would, I even had to pay the p&p and whenI rang to chase it had not even been ordered for me so had to wait 2 extra days with no internet and you only get 10GB download which is nothing, I was use to unlkimited with talktalk, although I did not realise this until it was limited with BT. I would not recommend them to anyone even my worse enemy and with be leaving as soon as I can!!!

Clicked link for 12 month phone contract. At the end of the process found that BT System had changed it to 18 month without any notification or advice to me. No confirmation of order which was subsequently cancelled and a new order set up by BT 4 days later. Number originally allocated and engineers visit changed without notification. Unable to track on computer. Customer services wanted to charge £98 to change it to 12 month contract. Total shambles.
Taken my business elsewhere.

Cashback tracked quickly. Switching my broadband to BT began as a nuisance and turned into a fiasco. BT did not get anything right (my order, my name, my bill ...... nothing). A total shambles! My broadband service is now up and running and is fine so far but I am still amazed how much BT got wrong after being in business for so many years!

initially failed to track, but a manual claim quickly resolved this. Excellent customer service from BT during my line swap over and broadband is so much quicker than sky.
