Incompetence and lie - that is what I can say about CPW. My phone died when I left it charging overnight. It was accepted by CPW local shop. However, soon after that, I received the report saying it was water damaged. The report was poorly written, showing low-quality small spot somewhere, which made a "highly qualified engineer" make assumption I dropped it into the water. I tried to speak with CPW customer support so they could explain this report to me. The response was rather arrogant and rude. I was occused of opening the phone (not even my brand). By having such response, I reported the problem to manufacturer directly and, oh miracle, the phone was repaired for free. The manufacturer confirmed there was no water damage at all. And, btw, the cashback was refused, too...

Declined my cashback for a new phone contract, awarded me £3 instead of £31 promised. Clearly a correct claim as it was registered on the site & got the £3, and it is a 2 year contract, so can easily be checked & confirmed. Poor information from Carphone Warehouse. Be wary if the cashback is the reason you are choosing them. Also, I have had a peculiar experience with them before, as I ordered & paid for an item online before, only to have difficulty picking it up from store as I did not have the purchasing credit card on me, (had other id & website receipt did not mention needing the card to collect)

after waiting for 2 months, carphonewarehouse declined my cashback. would never use carphonewarehouse cashback again. its really a disappointment :(

The £35.35 cashback registered quickly and moved to confirmed. Then went to the dreaded 0.00. However, I put a claim in and the £35.35 was reinstated and within 3 weeks had moved to payable. Got there in the end and very pleased about that!

Deeply disappointed with this retailer. I submitted a claim following problems with the tracking. Topcashback staff were fantastic - however Carphone warehouse has decided that I do not qualify for cashback despite the fact that I ordered (and am still paying for) a 24 month iphone contract. I have given up on this one. Add to this the fact that the promised transfer of my existing phone number was mucked up by Carphone Warehouse with the consequence that I paid two pohone contracts for an additional 2 months - I am not a happy customer!

Paid cashback within a few months so great. One thing to be careful of if the offer includes phone insurance or gadget help and you cancel, regularly check you bank account for these direct debits and cancel those (not the talk talk line rental one)

I was offered a choice of delivery by Yodel - or delivery to store. I chose the store, and i have now been told this means i have invalidated my cashback - as i completed the sale in store. Complete nonsense and its going back!!!!

I bought a phone. It wasn't entirely obvious from the website that a Pac code had to be entered at point of sale. The phone was sent to store, where I went to collect it. On learning that I could not take my existing number since I had not entered the PAC code at Point of Sale, I left it there. the solution was to cancel sale and re-order, (entering the PAC) which I did. When I went back I picked up what I thought was Phone no 2, but was actually phone no 1 with a cancelled SIM card. The phone didn't work but I thought it was waiting to port. After a few days and research on the web, I found that SIMs were sent out blocked in case they went astray. I rang the helpline for talkmobile and asked for it to be unblocked. I was told the PAC code had been entered incorrectly and I should go to the store to get it sorted. The store claimed that only a manager could do a manual override and so I revisited a few days later, only to be told it could not be done - they found out that I had been given phone no 1 and put the sim from phone no 2 in, and showed that it was working on a temporary number. I was told I would have to repurchase again, so keeping phone no 1, it went away. I then just checked my old orange number by calling it and to my surprise it went to talkmobile voicemail. Clearly the insertion of sim 2 had resulted in porting my number and what I was told by Talkmobile was rubbish. I went into the store, they gave me sim 2 and sorted it all out. Instore service was good - but they didn't get to the root of the problem so only four stars - otherwise v happy and delighted with the cashback and the product.

This cashback took ages to track and then not for the full amount it promised. Eventually it became payable 3 months later, but I have lodged a claim for the remaining amount that was quoted. Top Cashback are great. The service from CPW were reasonable too, but as for getting cashback from them, be prepared for a long wait !!

I purchased a new contract phone through topcashback with car phone warehouse in Mar, expecting £60 cask back and not heard a thing since even though a claim has been raised,in hindsight should have gone to a shop and haggled for a better deal.

Overall, experience with topcashback was good on my first purchase with Carphone Warehouse. Just joined topcashback today and already made a purchase (but I can't see the cashback value anywhere on my account that I will receive). Haven't received my product yet, but experience so far, so good!

I took out a Iphone 4s contract on 3 with this merchant because it promised £55 casback .Initially tracked at £35 and then went to £0 .The service and phone were fine but I would have gone straight to 3 if I had known that CPW were not going to pay out

Rejected my claim with no justification, staff in shop when I collected my phone were smoking in the yard behind the shop and wouldn't serve customers until they finished their cigarettes!

Got an excellent deal on a Galaxy note for my sons mobile phone contract. Ordered Friday after 6pm and delivered by 2pm on Monday of this week.Not only the cashback but also the product was over £20 a month cheaper by buying through the Carphone Warehouse than direct through Orange Mobile site.
