I tried several times over a period of days to click through for central heating cover. Tried two different credit cards and a debit card, each time clearing out my cookies. I entered all the details each time only to get the following message on the final screen; "Sorry, we have been unable to approve your online application. Thank you for applying and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any questions please give us a call on 0800 247 999. Calls may be monitored and recorded for training purposes." I called their number and the chap who answered said that he could see no reason I should be refused. He could sign me up over the phone, but then I lost what is offered (at least) by the cashback

Signed up for the combined cover at 8.30 this morning. Message on screen saying they were unable to complete the policy and would I ring them. Then three hours later, an e-mail saying I have been successful in signing up. So just be patient if you get an "unsuccessful" message. Don't ring straight away and therefore risk losing your cashback. Of course it remains to be seen if I get the cashback as promised.........

Shocking. Applied online, within 10 seconds get an email saying problem with the application please call us. Tried several times since (didn't want to phone as they may then decline cashback) and kept getting that email every single time within a matter of seconds. Finally gave in and called them up to find out that the policy was set up first time around and that I got the email 'in error'.

Yet to get policy documents and email requesting that I contact merchant was generated in error - so wasted time & effort there; also payment for policy was taken in one go (not my intention), so I'd advise caution when you come to pay!

validation required but an email and easy to fill in validation form all within 24 hours. Better internet price than by phone plus decent cashback. :)
