i took out this offer for my car insurance, expecting to get £45, but after seeing no mention of it on my tcb account I asked them to chase it only to be told that I needed an order number, which at no point was i given when taking out the insurance. I gave them my policy number but M&S refuse to pay me the £45 saying they have no trace of my order despite me having my policy documents.
I would treat this offer with great suspicion.

I do find it quite galling that such a large and well known retailer as M & S, who are clearly trying to make a name for themselves in the insurance business, are going to make me wait for 5 months before they pay out on my cashback. I can't believe that they are that strapped for cash!!

Cashback paid exactly 7 months to the day after ordering insurance and after one enquiry and one nudge to Topcashback. I really thought this would be the first time that cashback didn't come through but full marks to Topcashback for retrieving it. I also don't mind waiting for the appreciable discount achieved as long as I am made aware of the hurdles - wait the 90 days validation period before alerting Topcashback - raise enquiry if it doesn't track - nudge after a further month - wait for payment once it does track.........

i bought this car insurance in june 2010 - to date no cashback received - even though it said nov, then end of december. I would not go through this insurance company again.

Thought I would give them another chance. They are very generous with their offer, report quickly but make you wait an age to pay out. Last time I also had to persue the money as the transaction disappeared just before it was due!!! But thanks to Top Cashback I got it in the end!!

Shame on Marks and Spencer. It needs to recognise that it is in danger of losing its excellent customer service reputation due to its lamentable cashback performance. I purchased car insurance in July 2010, paying the annual premium in full. Topcashback submitted the claim after the excessive 90 day 'validation' period without prompting from myself, but advised that it might be a further '2 or 3 months' before I received cashback. It's now approaching the 6 month anniversary without any sign of payment. It might be reasonable to delay payment for those who elect to pay monthly premiums, but there is no excuse for those who pay in full, up front, for the product.

Failed to track, as i expected. Why do the small amounts worth 40p etc like Ebay track OK, but as soon as there is some serious cash they fail. Will chase up as usual

Didn't track at all. Manual claim is put 'on ice' for the whole of the excessive 90 day validation period, then will be submitted.
Doubt I'll ever see the money. Waste of time!
