After 19 months (!) chasing a completely legitimate cashback claim that did not track following my purchase of an iPhone mobiles.co.uk have refused my claim with no specific grounds for doing so. Topcashback have not sought to challenge this at all, even though they have the records of my visit to the site. Very disappointing. Looks like I have been unlucky, but it could happen to others too. Mobiles.co.uk won't be getting my business again.

Avoid this merchant. Purchased a phone in January and 9 months later they have rejected my topcashback claim saying that I have used another source i.e. search engine to buy the phone.

Not only do you get great deals from mobiles.co, but the cashback tracked straight away and paid up quickly. Efficient service on all counts, and provided you follow their instructions to the letter, sending them the correct invoice etc etc, they do pay up on their own cashback deals too.

One year on and mobiles.co.uk have declined to pay cashback, "unable to track transaction" even though Topcashback had it listed to enter the missing cashback claim.

Had to place manual claim 03/2012. Today got the claim accepted and payable. Long wait but got the money at the end. Always think cash back as a bonus.

Got 2 phones in Oct, neither were set up with mobile provider correctly and Mobiles took more than a week to call back and tell me they had to start everything over again etc... Whilst waiting I had got onto T-mobile and sorted everything myself. In addition Top Cashback have failed to reclaim and pay any moneys (£54.54) whatsoever and have failed to return any emails, or support tickets etc... Useless really, failing to deliver on all the reasons I came to the cashback site in the first place. ie giving cash back..

On a different order, they failed to process the PAC code provided on ordering, then refused to transfer number after ordering. When cancelled contract as they couldn't transfer number, they then used debt collectors to try and claim money for the contract on the phone they failed to transfer number to. Had to involve Charles Dunstone, but still took months to resolve. Avoid at all costs!

Cashback declined after 9 months of chasing. Said cashback attributed to internal source. Even though whole transaction completed online and cleared cookies before transaction. They are unable to say who the commission was attributed to internally at mobiles.co.uk!! avoid.

Cashback refused on basis that I didn't complete online/blah/blah/blah. Advised to 'clear cookies' next time. I'm NOT a numpty!!!. These things were done and EVERYTHING was processed as it should be. This is quite literally the first time I haven't received cashback on here. Won't be using Mobiles.co.uk again!

buyer beware mobiles,co,uk activate the phone contract at the time of purcahse so if like me you shopped early for christmas you will pay for the Orange contract whilst the phone is wrapped under the tree. Something to consider when you are thinking of online versus the highstreet. The response to my email was "The airtime contract you purchased with Orange is activated at point of purchase as that is where and when the request and security checks are done. No network, either online or through their stores offers the opportunity to delay connection. The deals and tariffs change on a daily basis and you chose one and purchased the deal. We are not in a position to refund line rental because you are not using the contract you purchased".

Purchased in June .cash back never track, merchant didn't ativate puck code,many telephone calls and visits to carphone warehouse to sort out. despite raising a claim and 3 nudges later, i still have not had a response from topcashback or mobiles.co.uk. would avoid at all costs.
