The AA would not pay out the £50 cashback due to me when I bought their cover as a new customer and could not provide me with a reason why. I was passed around when I contacted the AA with a query and all in have received a really poor service from the AA. I am cancelling my policy and the renewal that I had set up.

I have had the same experience as many other reviews in regards to cash back going to £0.00 after the policy has been in place (too long for me to cancel policy). I have submitted a missing cashback claim, so fingers crossed I get it!
The only reason I chose to change my previous insurers was because the cashback made the AA insurance cheaper. I will not be tempted by the AA's cash back offers again.

We've been with the AA for a few years, but by starting my membership 'from new' via Topcashback I was able to get a lower membership price than my previous quote - and £21 cashback. I did lose the (frankly, from my point of view pretty piddling) 'long term AA member benefits' they were offering me at the time by doing this, but the incentives weren't that much / all attractive to me in any case - something like a couple of free 'extra' callouts a year - something like that.
Re TCB, I wasn't confident the cashback money would ever track due to the other negative reviews for this retailer I've seen on the site, but it went through - slowly but steadily but without any problems or prompting on my part - and now it's marked as being payable to me. The payment process did take several months so if you're in a hurry for the cash, this could be a pain for you.

It has tracked at the correct amount of £50.50, I am quite pleased as I chose to pay monthly, and wasn't sure if it would track because of this. Will wait and see if it pays correctly! Glad I chose this one rather than their rivals who do not give cashback for paying monthly. Have been with AA previously and their breakdown service has always been excellent.

The AA is very quick in sending details of membership and other products, just wish they arranged the cash back as quick. It's not necessarly the money, more the principal.

Tracked, then went to £0.00, filled in a claim form, but if I do not get my cashback will never use the AA again for anything. All other retailers I have used have been fine so I can only put this down to the AA not honoring their end of the deal.

Wouldn't use again, as the AA decided to help themselves to money, without any notification and on the wrong date.
This was on the second payment!
This caused their direct debit to bounce leaving me to pay the costs!
Can't comment on the service as I canceled after this.

Many of the comments stated they did not receive the cash back. I received the £50 cashback relatively promptly, halving the actual cost of the breakdown cover.

After reading all the bad comments was a bit worried about going with the AA. But they had the best deal at the time. My cashback became payable today. 2 months after I took out insurance so about right for cashback. So good deal and great cashback happy days!!

I purchased in the early months of this year and it took about 14/15 weeks to become payable but finally got it today :) I've seen a lot of comments saying this hasn't tracked right etc but I can say I got my cashback fair and square, it just took longer than originally stated. HANG IN THERE!
