Yet another unhappy customer - after going through credit card authorisation I got the dreaded "Your payment has been unsuccessful, please use another card" message. Best Buy, you've just lost a £350 sale and a customer.

As other Top cashback memebers have mentioned, this retailers site will not accept credit card payments, no reason given? looks like a waste of time to me given the 20.2% cashback promise. Advise caution

I'm having problems too. Have tried to order a £500 god knows how many times in the last few days and it keeps getting declined. I've also been told that once your bank has blocked it, the Best Buy system will keep blocking you for 24 hours. This does seem to be the case. I've also tried through another cashbakc site and found the same thing happens. I called Best Buy and the guy said the 'cookies that they use [on cashback websites] aren't secure enough for us'. It remains to be seen whether the cashback I have pending with Best Buy from December will ever reach the payment stage. Lets hope so.

Like other's have found, the 20% cashback was too good to be true. The order was refused after it had been through credit card authorisation. Only buy from this company if the price is the lowest without cashback because cashback isn't guaranteed and I doubt if anybody will actually get it even if it has tracked.

Further to what I commented: After receiving the wrong laptop, Best Buy managed to mess up the redelivery and "lost" the laptop I sent them (it was sent to the wrong warehouse). I was repeatedly told I would be called back when I phoned, but I could only get a non confused reply via email and waiting 3-4 days for a reply. Still waiting for a refund (as a replacement is no longer possible) 5 weeks later.

SCAMMERS.. bought tv on sale for 350, (cashback approx 50 so tv would be 300).. next day tv went up to 370, and instead of charging me 350 (i copied the screen shot confirmation order) they charge 370. i complained, they asked for photos...sent phots 300kb they said it was 10MB so couldnt see it...online customers services are liars ... they then sent back an email saying thanks for your request and we have updated price to 370!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! customer services on phone were not much better The cashback although tracked is taking ages to materialise into real money!!!!.. DONT BUY from them unless you want to RISK it

Order did not track and have had to submit an enquiry - the first time I have had to do this for any retailer. Product was delivered by courier 1 day after the expected date - not a problem for me as I was in anyways. Product itself excellent - and very good price even without cashback - cashback would just make it all sweeter! Here's hoping the enquiry works out.

No problem with purchase and delivery, however if you wish to return a product then I have neve had such a poor online experience - when I eventually was able to return a product they debited my bank account again rather than crediting!! I am still awaitinf refund - customer service is the worst I have ever experienced!

I recently ordered a laptop for a Christmas present and arranged for delivery for Wednesday 22nd December. Without informing me, BestBuy changed the delivery date to Wednesday 29th December, which is no good for a Christmas present. I did not realise the change until they did not deliver and contacted them. They basically accused me of lying until I provided them with the screen print taken at point of order. Customer Services agreed to cancel order, however I received an e-mail on 28th December advising me that they'd despatched the goods and taken payment. Contact them and, again, they accused me of lying until I insisted that they listen to the recording of my previous call. Advised that it would take 5 days to return the funds that they shouldn't have taken in the first place. Please note that BestBuy is owned/operated by Carphone Warehouse, which probably explains the awful Customer Service. Will never use again.

Obviously, the high cashback rate of 20% caught my eye, but believing that nothing comes for free, checked out all the reviews and with all the negative reviews regarding card payments and having to ring, thus invalidating the cashback claim, I proceeded with caution! However, I have had no such problem! I have spent £100 and the cashback tracked within 16 hours, and card payment was no problem. Just make sure that you select the correct card ie credit (card) or debit(card).Delivery hopefully on Monday!! Great stuff!

As others have said this is a con. They are trying to hook people in with an amazing cashback rate, which has ranged from 10-20% in recent months. The % is way higher than any other electrical retailer. There is a reason for this - margins. Some TV/Hifi/Computer/Apple products don't retail with a 20% margin, so if they gave you this cash back they would be making a loss. So instead of offering a realistic cashback rate they maintain their ridiculous high rate and resort to one of the following tatics... a) Hit and miss tracking b) Website blocks transaction completing and gives telephone number instead (no cashback) c) For cashback that has tracked - no-one has been paid out yet. I have had £52 tracked from Best Buy since early November, no movement at all. I have tried over 30 times to order a Panasonic TV via TCB or QC at 15% or 20%, the website always says the order could not be processed. I try different computers, different web browsers, different credit/debit cards - all the same result. If they gave me this cashback they would be selling £100 cheaper than any other site, which obviously they don't want to do. This shouldn't be allowed. Other retailers clearly state different rates for different product categories and Best Buy should be forced to do the same as well. If they don't want to give 20% on TVs they should put up a real rate, eg 3% like everyone else (DSG, Tesco etc). What I would say is that when I ordered back from them in Nov, the service was fine. Their website worked and the item was delivered on time. Cashback tracked very quickly. But having discovered the con they a pulling with the cashback I have no faith that I will every receive the £52.

Sadly BestBuy are not taking ownership of the problem that many are experiencing when attempting to purchase only to find that the purchase failed or that they claim "the card was not authorised due to past fraudulent experiences" I tried with 2 different cards - got into arguments with card providers , had cards replaced and still did not get satisfaction - seems that it is possible that once failed there is a 30 day block put on customers which means that we miss out on ongoing discounts - obviously Bestbuy think we will return drawn by their "great discount deals" .... well not me after this! Possibly my worst ever purchasing experience simply because BestBuy insist it is not their problem "it is the your card providers" plus they don't respond to emails

BestBuy are an absolute joke and other should be aware of their website taking orders even though the goods aren't in stock. I wait ages for a laptop, found the right one and went through TCB for the cashback. The transaction was tracked but the goods were never delivered even though I specified the day and took a day off for it, there was no phone call or email before hand. I raised a complaint and their customer services didn't even apologise, so VAT has now increased, the sales are finished with other websites and the cashback period is due to end and I don't have a laptop! I am fuming about this and how and why their website accepts orders even though the goods aren't in stock.

Have tried for 2 days with number of different cards and still can't make purchase with the discount. Won't be using Best Buy in the future.

Don't bother. Tried ordering using 6 different cards and every time failed security authorisation, not only that but funds deducted from credit limit until cancelled by Best Buy. Appalling customer service on a premium rate number obviously and that's when you could actually get through. Don't worry, they won't be around long. Either a whole load of technical issues, or worse, just a big con.

Steer well clear of this lot. I wasted time ordering only to have my order declined at the final stage. This happened on three separate ocassions. Avoid them at all costs!!!

Both my partner and myself attempted to purchase from Best Buy. My partner tried to purchase a surround sound system for £799. He used his debit card but the transaction failed and he got a message on the Best Buy website suggesting he try another card. He tried to use his business account card, but that failed also. As I have recently purchased from Best Buy, I went on the site to buy the item for my partner using the debit card I used for my last purchase. It failed. I tried my other bank account. That failed also. Having read comments by other TCB members, it appears that Best Buy are deliberately setting their site up to reject more expensive purchase transactions which come via cashback sites. This obviously makes their cashback a farce. To top it all, my partner got charged by his bank for the failed transaction!!!

Still no joy with online order coming to the conclusion that BestBuy prevent online ordering from cash back sites during sale time 100% con and please avoid. Tried since 2nd Jan 2011 to order online with failed attempts no issue with payment card as placing orders with other online retailers no problem. BestBut customer service please address this and reply to the forum.

Disappointed so far. Ordered washing machine on 7th Jan, expecting 15% cashback. It tracked quickly (the next day), but only registering an amount corresponding to 5%! Have raised an enquiry but has been put on ice until 15th (in case the cashback is upgraded in meantime). And now the cashback offer has gone up to 20%!! Made the error of hoping for the cashback and going with Best Buy - Bennetts Electrical was cheaper without the cashback.
