O2 Reviews

It’s fair to say feedback left by TopCashback members who have shopped with O2 through us is mixed. However, having said that, you will be able to read many positive O2 reviews below. There are plenty of people who have clearly been pleased with how quickly they received their cashback, with one saying: “Cashback payable to my account was bang on time — brilliant service.”

Others clearly share those sentiments, with similar comments including “tracked and paid within a month”, “really easy transaction and decent cashback rate” and “tracked quickly and paid out fast”. Our members have also praised O2 for the service they provide, with comments including “super quick and efficient service” and “brilliant — very helpful customer service”. The O2 review feedback on Trustpilot is also mixed, but there are some fantastic reviews.

One stated: “Absolutely brilliant company. The My O2 app is so easy to check your upcoming bill and offers.” Another happy customer said: “I think O2 is brilliant. I have been on O2 for quite a few years now and I have never had any problems, either with the network or the billing.” Their customer service team comes in for praise too, with comments including “always had a great experience with O2, always helpful on chat and happy to assist”. Ordered o2 simplicity blackberry to get the £200 cashback deal on 31st March, two amounts of £25 have appeared on my TCB account yesterday> Have read that it does take some time to appear as full amount so fingers crossed it works. Not received sim yet but when i do i'll be contacting o2 to get first few days refunded as i have received the bill already. I was also an existing o2 customer when i placed the order and they gave me a new number but contacted them and they said as soon as new sim arrives i should contact them and they will transfer my old number from my simplicity monthly contract.

I would also like Top Cash Back to explain or release a formal statement for the piece of mind of the customers of this deal. We put our trust in you as a brand and i feel that i am loosing this because of this deal. Why is it tracking at only £25, is there a reason for this. It seems like a cheap tactic to push people out of their cooling down period if you ask me. Also very unimpressed with o2... they find it hard to get the SIM out promptly but they sure as hell found the time to send us all a bill?! EXPLANATIONS PLEASE TCB

Like others who have posted I have today (07-04) finally seen my order tracked but at £25 not £200, I have already been billed by O2 but not recieved my SIM. I have seen a few token responses from TCB editor on the forum thread but the language used is non-committal - a clear formal statement with full explanation and guarantees would be really helpful here. Like most of the others I don't want to take the risk and wait several weeks for my cashback to be topped up to £200 as this takes me beyond my cooling off period with O2 and the deal only makes sense with the full £200 cashback. This is my first experience with TCB and had natually put me off - this is very damaging to the TCB and O2 brands! TCB - Please can you issue a formal statement to guarantee the top up and put our minds at ease? (or if not possible explaing the situation fully so that we can make informed choices!)

Same as most below. Ordered 31 March. No tracking. No sim arrived but billed - even without use. 1st time with topcashback. I am in no rush to get money but Topcashback need to give some reassurance that this will track and I will get money. Is my 14 day return to o2 from order or from receipt (from receipt I believe). What am I supposed to do - return it or take a gamble on tracking / payment). Have used other cashback company with zero problems. Topcashback and o2 need to do something now to get some credibility back eg a sticky here and an email to all who ordered. Here's hopeing

SIm ordered 31st March nothing received as yet other than the bill which was debited from 31stmarch. Also has £25 cashback shown no mention of the £200. Have emailed them to get confirmation IN WRITING, they say on the site that they will reply in 72 hours--I wonder!!!!! Wont proceed with order unless £200 cashback confirmed. Looks like 02 are going to lose a lot of potential customers???? Pity..

I ordered my SIM late on in the evening of the 30th March. It still hasn't tracked and still no SIM. The post has already been this morning and still nothing. I was hoping I wouldn't have to put my usual £10 on this month which was due yesterday as I thought i'd ordered it early enough. I'm already with O2 and have already got a bill for the SIM I ordered so i'm not very pleased. Did try the tracking test that someone mentioned earlier and it shows the date and time I ordered the SIM. I'm wondering if they are overwhelmed by the amount of people who have placed an ordere. Don't wanyt to be paying £25 a month though plus my normal £10 as well so if something doesn't happen soon I think I might have to cancel.

Everyones' is showing at £25, topcashback stated that straightaway. It will be updated to £200 when o2 gives confirmation the contract is being used, of which topcashback stated should be before the date it becomes payable. It shouldn't be a problem if the £25 is tracking, you can always raise a ticket later on. I'd be worried if mine hasn't tracked tbh.

Hi Mine has tracked, but its not showing the £200 cashback that I signed up too, which was the £25 a month sim only. What it is showing is a £25 cashback, and not payable to me until 31/05/2010. Looks like Top cashback's offer/deal was misleading if potentially the £200 cashback was expected back immediately. I may have to cancel this if I don't get the promised £200 back immediately.

I also ordered the o2 sim card on the 31st. No sim yet and no tracking. If the £200 is not guaranteed, I'll be cancelling.

Ordered on the 31st Still no sign of any tracking or Sim !!! Did get an O2 bill though..... I'm expecting the sim today, but even so not going to put it in my phone until it tracks, I'm not risking a manual claim (still have one manual claim that's over 1 year old). A few more days, if it still hasn't tracked then the sim will have to go back - shame....

I too ordered a simplicity sim on the £200 cashback offer. 1 week later, no sim, no cahback tacked, but already rec'd my first O2 bill! Looks like i'll be cancelling my deal.

Me too. Ordered on 31st. Only showing £25 cashback. If it doesn't show £200 soon, I'll dump the deal, why do want to pay £300 per year for phone calls when I only use £10 per month +/- £1

No, I ordered at around 11.20pm on 31st and I'm still waiting for it to track.

Like others my £25 is registered (and fingers crossed for uplift to £200). I ordered a pay as you go phone to go with it, which was supposed to be delivered this morning but I called at 5pm and they say they forgot to send out the sim or the phone, although on the 02 website it says that my order is complete. Anyone else have this problem? Wondering whether to give them the benefit of the doubt or to change back to Vodafone who have always been pretty good with their customer service.

Finally tracking at 25 pounds for me too :) However, TCB, why does it track at 25 pounds when it could be easily track at 200 pounds when it's in the pending column and not available for payment? Why do you confuse people saying it will/might upgrade to 200 pounds later? I notice mine is payable on 31th May so why not track at the full amount of 200 pounds from the beginning instead of 25 pounds? PS: Also, please could someone post here a reference to a link on TCB website where it says the 25 pounds will be upgraded to 200 pounds later...and not a comment post...thanks.

i signed up for the £200 Hot Offer on simplicity 25 for iphone closing midnight 31 march. nothing happened for a few days then i got an email from O2 saying i had a new a/c no and phone no. Also my TCB a/c has tracked £25? totally not what i'd signed up for. now cancelling. get the impression they had given out a few too many £200s and were doing stuff to cause cancellations. Bit sneaky.

Hi there, Please note that the O2 Sim only transactions may initially track at a lower amount of £25.00 but should be uplifted to reflect the correct offer displayed within a few weeks. You can view this information under retailer enquiries in the help section. Kind regards,

Ordered on 31st and still nothing tracked on my account. I lodged a Missing Claim and received the following from TCB: Just to let you know that we have received your Missing Commission enquiry for O2. Your claim has been put 'On Ice' pending a validation period required by the merchant, we will automatically send off your query once this validation period has elapsed. Status: On Ice. You will need to log back in to submit this claim after 30 Apr 10) If you notice your cashback has been added to your account, or if you wish us to stop persevering in trying to get this cashback, please can you close the claim in the enquiries section. If, however, you do urgently need to send us more information regarding this enquiry, then please only do so via your claim details page, by logging into your account and posting a message against your claim. Any incorrect details may be used by the retailer as a reason not to pay the commission. I would just like to take this opportunity to remind you that TopCashBack merely acts as a 'go-between' for yourselves and the retailers/retailers agents. The decision on whether to award manual commission is not made by ourselves, but by the retailers and their agents. Kind Regards, TopCashBack Enquiries Team This isn't much use to me as I don't want a contract that costs me £25/mth. My existing at £12.50 is OK but I was looking for more minutes. If it doesn't track I'll certainly cancel within the 14 days.

I ordered the Simplicity 25 SIM only deal on the 31st March. Has not tracked yet and have still not received the sim thru the post. Have called O2 and they said they will send out a new sim card (they said one had already been sent) and when I get it for me to call again and ask for a credit for the unused period. Customer service agent also confirmed that I had 14 days from placing the order to cancel the order - penalty free. This is reassuring as I intend to do that if the cashback is not confirmed. Thanks for all the other comments - before reading them I was thinking I might be particularly unlucky.
