O2 Reviews

It’s fair to say feedback left by TopCashback members who have shopped with O2 through us is mixed. However, having said that, you will be able to read many positive O2 reviews below. There are plenty of people who have clearly been pleased with how quickly they received their cashback, with one saying: “Cashback payable to my account was bang on time — brilliant service.”

Others clearly share those sentiments, with similar comments including “tracked and paid within a month”, “really easy transaction and decent cashback rate” and “tracked quickly and paid out fast”. Our members have also praised O2 for the service they provide, with comments including “super quick and efficient service” and “brilliant — very helpful customer service”. The O2 review feedback on Trustpilot is also mixed, but there are some fantastic reviews.

One stated: “Absolutely brilliant company. The My O2 app is so easy to check your upcoming bill and offers.” Another happy customer said: “I think O2 is brilliant. I have been on O2 for quite a few years now and I have never had any problems, either with the network or the billing.” Their customer service team comes in for praise too, with comments including “always had a great experience with O2, always helpful on chat and happy to assist”. Hi, my first time using a cashback site so pleased to see so many people having the same somewhat confusing experience as me. I ordered the SIM-only deal, £200 cashback on 31/03 and it has tracked as of 06/04, but only at £25 as reported by other users. TCB say ''(the) claim has been put 'On Ice' pending a validation period required by the merchant'', and I think this means that once my first DD payment has been received by o2, and assuming that I don't cancel in the meantime, then the outstanding cashback amount will track sometime after 30/04. However, as that will be outside the cooling off period, and as the SIM-only deal is poor value without the £200 cashback that so many of us clearly signed-up for, it would be helpful if some clarification were available from TCB, especially as I have spoken to o2 directly but they were unable to offer any information on this deal. Incidentally, I have yet to receive my SIM - no surprise with the Easter weekend really - but am already being billed as others report. Thanks to a previous poster for the tip about contacting o2 to arrange for a billing credit to address this.

my account is now showing #25 and I believe it will increase when in a few weeks, I'm sure this will happen reading back much earlier comments. Still no sign of the sim which they dispatched on the 1st April but I have had my first bill.... again seems common. I'll hold off complaining to O2 for the next few days. Good luck everyone!

Tracking at £25 is correct and this should change to the correct amount after 5 or 6 weeks when it becomes confirmed. My cashback appeared on 6th April following my purchase on 31st March. Just need the SIM card now and I'll be away :)...tyvm

I too have just taken a sim only 12mth contract with advice from ML mse expecting £200 cashback from 02. Like another member I am also only showing £25 as my cashback amount. Does anyone know if this is an incremental £25 up to £200 or am I only going to get the 25? If the latter, I will return the sim. Have also seen the same from another cashback site with £160 cashback only showing £25. (sorry fo rthe other cashback site mention). I have a week to send the sim back. Thankx

Just received confirmation of purchase, however tracking as £25 not £200. I'm new to cashback and this seems to go along with the majority of opinion and I hope therefore that it will increase appropriately when the time comes. I put my faith in TCB on a recommendation from ML MSE, what else can I say it's waddling and quacking if it ends up tasting of chicken...! Worse things happen in war. ML, TCB not to forget O2 have no possible reason to quibble over £200. If you get stung would you trust them again? If you dont would you want to use anyone else? No one is going to die, but I tell you this I have a lot of minutes to use up and I will use them. 272800 mins over 12 mths is a lot of bad press!

Asat 15.45hrs 6th April note that 02 have credited incorrectly the sum of £25.00 when it should be £200. I am ringing them now re this error and will advise.

I ordered the £25/month iPhone Simplicity sim on the 31st March with the £200 cashback. Just had the first £25 added. Hopefully it'll go up to £200 soon.

My order for a SIM only deal placed on 18 Feb has now been uplifted from £25 to £100, and has now also been confirmed, due end April. Send an enquiry say 3/4 weeks after order if not automatically uprated. The system has never let me down. Very Happy with O2. Good Luck

I am in the same position as everyone else. Bought on 31st and still waiting for tracking to show. At least it is good to know that it's not just me in this position. Plenty of time to cancel within the 14 days if needs be. Let's hope I don't have to though!

You would have thought there would be some re-assurance from TCB (still it is a bank holiday). It's frustrating mine bought like everybody else, no tracking, billed and no sim!! £200 lost would be very embarrassing to TCB, O2 and Martin Lewis who helped promote this offer. Let's hope it all turns out well in the end.

Hi there, This merchant does generally take several days for the transactions to track. As you mention, this may be affected by the Bank Holidays and I would expect members to see these track within the next few days now. Kind Regards Top CashBack

I'm thinking of canceling my order too as I don't see any tracking yet :( In addition, when I registered for the £200 cashback deal, I didn't see the new customer information and registered using my existing O2 account (existing email address) and I gave my old O2 number too. However, today I see O2 have created a new mobile number for me so may be the "new customer" status will still apply? I'll give it a few more days until the 12th of April and if no tracking appears then I'll cancel. TCB, please try to do something to expedite the tracking before the 12th Apr otherwise I'll have to cancel.

Thanks for that, just checked that and it shows that it did 'track' at 17:04pm on 30th of March. Hasn't shown up yet but hopefully should soon.

Thanks for the info tell_a_friend, I'm in the same boat as the rest, but was able to check that my purchase tracked by following your instructions. I hope it is just due to the bank holiday, but everyone should be aware that they can cancel within 14 days of receiving the SIM card, so don't panic.

With 'slow to show' transactions I like to check whether my 'click through' to the retailer' was actually logged by TCB. (Must always clear cookies:). Not sure whether there is an easier way to do this but this is what I like to do - In Overview, click on Enquiries > Cashback Claims > Submit a new missing cashback claim > I can see no mention of my Transaction... > Submit a missing cashback enquiry > Submit missing cashback claim > tick box and then click on Submit missing cashback claim button > On the next page you can select from a list of retailers you have visited (hopefully O2 will be listed) and then select the date you clicked through to O2 > click continue and then the next page lets you select the actual time you clicked through to O2 (I then click back so as to stop short of actually submitting the claim at this point). This shows that your 'click through to O2' was logged correctly and together with your O2 order you should have no problem proving to TCB / O2 that they need to pay up :). Just to say that I have been using TCB for a few years and have always found they work hard to ensure cashback is paid out and are very helpful. I don't use any other site, such as quidco as some charge a fee and any cashback offered on their site can be matched by TCB.

http://www.o2.co.uk/assets/O2HybridNav/Static-files/PDFs/AIRTIMEPAYMONTHLY_JAN09.pdf 11.1 You may cancel this Agreement up to 14 days after the date on which you receive your SIM Card (the “Change Your Mind Period“) as long as you give us notice within this 14 day period either by returning to any O2 retail store or by calling Customer Services. It's confirmed 14 days. I will wait a week or so more before I call them up to cancel the contract. I don't even use up 300mins, let alone 900mins :P Btw I have contacted O2 and they told me to reply to them once I receive the SIM card and they will deduct the 'unused' period from my bill. Hope this helps clear a little up.

I have just received my first bill too. No sign of cashback showing on here at all. Would feel happier once it has at least been recognised. I don't suppose anybody at TCB is working though due to the bank holiday, so will wait until Tuesday before submitting a missing claim. Does anyone know if it is 7 or 14 days to cancel contract?

ordered this ONLY due to the O2/TCB £200 promo; checked conditions, checked tracking, ordered 11pm on 31st March. Still no sim nor ANY TCB tracking noted, just had first O2 bill. So the distance selling directive 7 day clock ticking.. to be cancelled /any late sim returned unused on 6th day.. (must just find an address to com with!).. will not allow O2 to hide behind TCB, aim to use moneyclaimonline and warn others via martin lewis if anything underhand emerges

Well on a positive note a lot of us seem to be in the same boat! I am new to TCB and a bit disappointed that there isnt even some confirmation that my order will track. I accept it may only show #25 first off but nothing at all is a bit poor. My sim hasnt arrived although I got a mail on the 1st to say it had been dispatched. Maybe both issues are held up with the bank holiday, if nothing by next week I'll cancel and go with my original plan of #15 per month which is more than enough for what I need anyway. good luck and if any of you receive your tracked cash back will you please post so we know it does work eventually. thanks

Cashback not tracked yet from my order on 31st March...hopefully will appear next day or so. SIM card also not received due to Bank Holidays. Already received first bill from O2 (which is automatically generated after placing the order) for £27.42 which is made up of £2.42 (1st April to 3rd April) plus £25 for the next month (4th April - 3rd May)...contacted O2 via live chat as I wasn't happy being charged yet as I haven't got the SIM, when I explained the situation, my account was credited with £5 (which refunds the charges from 1st up to about the 6th April) - easily sorted, but will be back on to them if the SIM doesn't arrive by Wed 7th. Hope tis helps others in same situation.

I happened to buy the SIM only deal from O2. Though it took about 3 months to track but they paid me £100 cashback as listed here. So, be patient. It does work. Don't forget the wonderful job the guys at Top CashBack are doing behind the scene.
